The Quality Control Technician assists with developing, maintaining and implementing Quality Control Systems to deliver the continuous production of concrete and precast concrete products which meet established standards. The Quality Control Technician is expected to perform regular pre/post pour inspections and document all aspects of Quality Control processes and procedures.
At least one year of experience in concrete manufacturing or production quality control
Previous experience with and strong working knowledge of concrete batching process
Experience with design and control of concrete mixtures
Knowledge of ACI field testing requirements for testing concrete
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to apply experience and judgment to ensure all components are manufactured to the highest standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to read and interpret building code requirements
Ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and engineering documents
Precast Concrete Institute training levels I, II and III
American Concrete Institute Field Testing Technician - Grade 1
Advanced math skills
Precast/Prestressed Quality School I, II, III
American Concrete Institute Aggregate Testing Technician Grade 1
Valid Class C driver’s license
National Precast Concrete Association Production and Quality School Level I (This is required after 120 days from the hire date)
American Concrete Institute Field Testing Technician Grade I (This is required after 120 days from the hire date)
Safe driving record for the past three years
