Equipt Aquatics is a North Austin-based swimming pool maintenance company that provides services to commercial and residential customers.
We seek a skilled and experienced Pool Cleaning Technician to join our team. As a Pool Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining pools.
This position requires the candidate to utilize their own vehicle, preferably a truck, for work transportation and daily job activities. All company expenditures, including gas, will be compensated.
This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with full-time employment opportunities.
Pay begins at $22 per hour and up based on experience.
Duties:
- Clean and maintain pools, including vacuuming, skimming, brushing, and backwashing
- Test water chemistry and adjust chemical levels as needed
- Inspect pool equipment for any issues or malfunctions
- Report pool equipment issues, such as pumps, filters, automation, and valves
- Provide excellent customer service and work as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pool cleaning and maintenance is preferred, primarily in commercial
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Knowledge of pool chemistry and water treatment methods
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pool systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner
