The position performs and oversees advanced and complex welding operations on- and off site. The position will determine job priorities, assign repair orders, schedule work and assist other maintenance personnel when needed.
High school diploma or its equivalent
Completion of formal training
At least five years of welding maintenance experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to design, fabricate and repair metal and perform corrosion prevention
Ability to use arc and Mig welders, plasma cutter and acetylene equipment
Working knowledge of shop equipment, e.g. drill press, cranes, grinders, saw
Must possess own tools
Demonstrated understanding of metal welding theory and practices
Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit tests
Valid commercial driver’s license
Safe driving for the last five years
Experience with structural repairs and building erection experience
Valid Class C driver’s license
Record of safe driving for the last three years
