Position Overview:
Texas Area Telecom is a leading provider of quality Telecom Infrastructure Design and construction services, with headquarters in Austin, Texas. Due to our continuous growth and active projects across the country, we are expanding our field team. We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn the telecom industry and grow their career with our company. This entry-level position requires 90% travel and offers a competitive compensation package, including paid time off, benefits, and retirement savings plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to various locations throughout the country to support telecom infrastructure projects.
Work outdoors collecting field data to be used for permitting networking projects.
Communicate daily production progress to your manager and maintain regular communication with your team.
Develop technical knowledge and skills in telecom infrastructure design and construction through on-the-job training.
Ensure accurate data collection and maintain detailed records using various applications and software.
Requirements:
Willingness to travel 90% of the time, with work schedules typically involving 10-14 days on-site followed by 5 days off.
Comfort working outdoors and the ability to walk several miles per day carrying light equipment (approx. 10 lbs).
Strong work ethic, self-starter mentality, and effective communication skills.
Experience in telecom, surveying, field data collection, cable installation/repair, construction, or a related field is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Benefits:
Starting pay of $1000+ per week, depending on experience, with overtime, per diem, and paid travel time available.
Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (weekends as needed).
