Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT)/Geotechnical Engineering Senior Laboratory Technician / Lab Supervisor for our brand new office in Austin, Texas. Experience in laboratory testing for soils, concrete, aggregate and/or asphalt, along with certification in ACI Strength is desired. The successful candidate will perform standard laboratory test methods including proctors, sieves, Atterberg Limits, Compression, Sampling, and splitting of samples. Duties also include calibrating equipment, maintaining proper and complete laboratory data, lab certification and maintenance, maintaining/purchasing equipment, supervision of a small team of field and/or lab technicians (when hired; this is a new office), clear communications with the Office or Project Manager regarding all aspects of the laboratory operations including providing of neat and orderly project documentations. Will also be responsible for helping to obtain and maintain lab accreditation.
Required Skills: The successful candidate should have 5+ years of soil & concrete testing experience or equivalent. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a current valid driver’s license.
Required Certifications: ACI Strength; other certifications a plus
