Full-time certified Medical Assistant needed for a Rheumatology practice in central Austin. We provide high quality care and support for patients with chronic autoimmune diseases. Must be dependable, friendly, and have a positive attitude- someone who cares about patients and co-workers. Small practice feel with 10 great co-workers. Office hours are semi flexible at 32-40 hours per week M-Th or M-Fri.
Duties include but are not limited to:
General office duties such as answering phones, faxing, calling patients/returning patient calls
Escorting patients to exam room
Obtaining vitals, patient history and review medication list
Giving injections and instructing patients who will be self injecting
Assist physician with procedures when needed
Filing charts (we do not have electronic medical records)
Processing prescriptions and obtaining Prior Authorizations
Patient education and support
Ensuring exam rooms are fully stocked and cleaned
Other duties as assigned
