FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Our local well established restaurant is looking to hire enthusiastic team members to join our crew. Your job will be to help build/cook orders, serve customers, utilize our partner platforms (UberEats, Doordash, Grubhub) and assist us in maintaining our restaurant’s cleanliness. Some of your duties in this role may include: preparing proteins, dairy and vegetables, interacting with guests, and ensuring our grab-and-go items remain stocked.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work effectively in a team setting. You will also need to have strong communication skills and be adaptable in a fast-moving and changing environment. Additionally, you should have a professional demeanor, as you will be responsible for representing our restaurant in a positive light when dealing with guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stay up-to-date with all health and safety requirements, being sure to follow each of them as closely as possible
- Operate our POS System (Toast / Square) to help customers pay for their orders
- Listen to customer feedback and respond appropriately in a professional manner
- Answer customer questions about pricing, ingredients, and availability of our products
- Assist the kitchen team by performing food preparation tasks like mixing, building, cutting, cooking and packaging finished meals.
- Serve customers in a fast and friendly way
- Help our kitchen wrap, date-label, and store food items
Food Service Worker Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food handling experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow detailed food preparation instructions
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent people skills
- Available to work nights, weekends, and during other busy restaurant hours (Scheduling is flexible with appropriate availability given)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow food health and safety guidelines
- Food handler’s license preferred
- Reliable Transportation preferred
