Job Description:
As the Chef Assistant, you will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure high-quality preparation and presentation of Dim Sum and other Chinese dishes. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and creativity of our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating.
Assist in creating and perfecting recipes to meet our high standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
Monitor ingredient quality and communicate any issues to the Head Chef.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
Clean the kitchen and dishwash
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a Chinese or Dim Sum kitchen is preferred.
Basic understanding of Dim Sum and Chinese cooking techniques.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
