The primary functions of this position are to ensure safe and healthy working conditions and procedures for all colleagues and business partners, achieve departmental KPIs and targets, implement the EH&S management system, and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations across business operations.Role Responsibilities:

Lead a team, including a Senior Director and managers to achieve departmental and company KPIs and targets

Keep up with EH&S market trends to drive an operational continuous improvement strategy for business operations

Oversee strategy development, KPIs, metrics, and targets for operations to deliver departmental and organizational KPIs and implement the EH&S management system, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity in the RWCE business

Foster company culture through communication plans to develop a culture of safety in all business operations

Share progress through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure collaboration across departments and drive safe actions within business operations

Implementation of EH&S management system, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with global directives

Development of EH&S, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity governance leadership

Advise and guide operational leadership on the implementation of the EH&S management system, risk identification, and mitigation

Responsible for data analyses, targeted campaigns, programs, and initiatives

Ensure governance and compliance with the EH&S management system and policies

Contact with regulatory bodies, contractors (supply chain), and industry establishments

Work with EH&S team members to conduct root cause and common cause analyses

Ensure EH&S training compliance across the business

Management of EH&S legal compliance

Effectively communicate and escalate within the level of authority in the RWECE organization

Job Requirements and Experiences:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Safety Management, Environmental, Engineering, or relevant area or study preferred

Minimum of 10 years of executive safety management experience in a multi-national and globally-matrixed organization

Renewables industry experience is a plus

Deep expertise in EH&S and asset-intense business (Construction, Operations)

Understanding of regulatory framework in different jurisdictions/markets

Understanding of regulatory decision-making procedures

Understanding of business model, regulatory and technical developments as well as potential implications

Onshore Wind & PV Construction & Operations understanding

Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically as needed to effectively perform the job

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $190,000-$250,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
