Participant Qualifications
Overall Healthy Adults
Or older adults with the following conditions
- Well-controlled high blood pressure maintained by a single medication
- Well-controlled high cholesterol maintained by a single medication
- Well-controlled non-insulin dependent type 2 diabetes maintained by metformin
66 to 75 years old
Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18-35 kg/m2
Smoking criteria: non-smoking/nicotine-containing products within 3 months of screening.
Health status is further evaluated by reviewing medical history, screening assessments, and visit with physician
Available and willing to commit to the study visit structure - You will be asked to stay in our clinic for 4 nights and return for 1 outpatient follow-up visit.
Study Information
The purpose of the study is to assess the safety and tolerability of the study drug following single ascending oral doses in healthy adults.
The study drug is being developed as a potential treatment for age-related muscle weakness
