Join us and help change the world of real estate, one home at a time.Job Title: Software Engineer (Data Engineering)Job Duties:Move Inc. is seeking Software Engineer(s) (Data Engineering) for its Austin, TX location. This role will join our Data Engineering team to develop tools and platforms that make data easily accessible, personalize our products, and power our user experiences. This position will develop tools and platforms to get data into our data lake easily, create systems that ensure data is well defined and trustworthy, and build enabling platforms that get the data into the hands of teams that will personalize our products, make more informed decisions, and power our user experiences.Job responsibilities and duties will include:

Work collaboratively in teams composed of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers

Implement new application features that delight our users

Develop reusable components and frameworks for ingestion, cleansing and data quality

Develop and operationalize data pipelines, backend services and distributed systems using advanced data architectures deployed on Amazon Web Services

Optimize our developer toolchain to support instant provisioning of new services and infrastructure, fully automate deployment, and minimize development friction

Work in a product development process that is primarily Agile/Scrum

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or any related Engineering or IT field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:

Building data pipelines and platforms

One or more of the following object-oriented programming languages: Ruby, Go, Java, Node.js, Python, or Dart

Two or more of the following cloud technologies: AWS ECS, S3, RDS, EMR, Redshift, Glue or Athena

Two or more of the following data engineering ecosystem tooling technologies: EMR/Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Kinesis, Flume, Airflow, Luigi, or AWS Data Pipeline

Cloud-based architectures, development, and deployment

Building, testing, and deploying automation technologies

Understanding of computer science fundamentals, schema design, and best practices

No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be able to come in office a minimum of 3 days a week.Additional Information:
