Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager, the Procurement Professional will provide expertise to support the assigned work portfolio of project services, which includes purchasing and subcontracting responsibilities to meet project schedules and expectations.In this role, you’ll perform all duties for assigned subcontracts, including: Prequalification of bidders, solicitation of proposals, proposal evaluations, source selection recommendations Leading negotiation of subcontract terms and pricing issues, conformance and finalizing of agreements, and subcontract issuance and implementation. Ensuring applicable Client contract commercial terms are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts Obtaining necessary reviews and approvals of bidder exceptions, bid evaluations, source selection recommendations, subcontracts, and change orders prior to execution. Ensuring budget compliance issues are addressed Performing subcontract post-award administration duties, including change order management, contractual compliance, invoice verification, insurance compliance, performance evaluation, closeout of agreements, and records retention.At Jacobs, we challenge the accepted, so we can shape innovative and lasting solutions for tomorrow. Proven experience in commercial procurement and subcontracting in related fields Overall Knowledge of Industry Business relevant to Jacobs in the US:o Understands major technical, organizational, managerial, and business issues related to procurement management.o Extensive knowledge of commercial procurement laws and standards, operations management, and project delivery.o Thorough understanding of construction subcontracting. Project Delivery Knowledge:o Understands project delivery processes in support of project purchasing and subcontracting requirements and their relationship to project delivery. Communications:o Excellent communications and writing skills.o Experience effectively authoring contractual commitment documents, as well as internal and external communications.o Ability to effectively communicate with clients and interact with operations, project, and project managers. Systems:o Experience using various systems and applications related to the support of procurement and subcontracting including experience with relevant purchasing software, electronic mail, and standard desktop software.
