Description We are staffing for a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Medical Data Entry Clerk to join our team and support our mission of improving patient outcomes.The Medical Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining patient information and medical records in our electronic health records (EHR) system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter patient information, including personal details, medical history, and treatment records, into the EHR system (EPIC).

Verify the accuracy of data by cross-referencing with source documents.

Update and maintain patient records to ensure current and complete information.

Assist with the retrieval and processing of medical records as needed.

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and staff to obtain missing or unclear information.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Perform regular data quality checks and audits to identify and correct errors.

Assist with other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION, MUST BE LOCATED IN AUSTIN, TEXAS!

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in health information management or related field preferred.

Proven experience as a data entry clerk, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EHR systems (EPIC).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
