Horton, Inc.DHI Communities is currently looking for aLicensing and Compliance Coordinator-DHITIC. The right candidate will oversee the timely completion of all state and regulatory reporting and licensing requirements for DHI Title Insurance Company. Duties will include assisting with the initial application process and ensuring compliance with strict reporting and filing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
File and/or assist with Applications for Authority to become registered in various states
Research state and NAIC guidelines and maintain state manuals as appropriate and provide updates to all pertinent parties
Update and maintain the Compliance Reporting Calendar with reporting and filing requirements for all active states
File and/or assist with the appointing/registering agents with DHITIC
Gain an understanding of the company bylaws and related board requirements
Serve as liaison with various state agencies for compliance and reporting purposes
Prepare, review, reconcile, and sign off on various reporting initiatives
Assist with title agent audits and the documentation of audit procedures
Assist CFO and Controller with additional duties as assigned
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to work overtime
Ability to travel overnight
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
Two to five years of related experience and/or training
Possess excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other employees
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
Ability to prioritize deadlines
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
