An Austin based company in the Fintech space is looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer. This role can be mostly remote with some hybrid but they would like the candidate to live in the Austin area The Lead Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for hands-on development of their web application, building out API's and all integrations. This Full Stack Engineer position will allow the right individual to come in and make an immediate impact on the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Design & develop highly scalable APIs & infrastructure
- Contribute to architecture decisions & communicate well with other engineers
- Build beautiful applications for client's users/customers
- Collaborate with other teams including product, UX, services, support & customers as needed
- Utilize Node.js, React.js, Postgres, and NoSQL database, REST API, and more on a daily basis
- Work in AWS
- Work in a GNU/Linux environment
- Work in an agile-based environment using tools like GitHub and Slack
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-scaled applications in the cloud
- 3+ years as a JavaScript developer including coding in React, Node, or Angular on a daily basis
- Personal drive and motivation to make a difference in a growing company
- Takes initiative in learning new things, specifically new technologies
- Interest and ability to mentor junior level developers and other team members
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
