Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Note: Client is looking Google Cloud Platform Developer. Junior to Mid-Level. Need at least 1 year Google Cloud Platform experience.

Locations: Austin, TX / Denver, CO / Westlake, TX

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years of experience with Information Technology
  • 1 years of working in Google cloud platform, especially in Dataflow, Big Query , Python etc.
  • Good experience in Informatica ETL workflows and mappings, RDBMS like Teradata
  • Proficient in a Python or Java, SQL
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
  • Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
  • Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in software development life cycle
  • 4+ years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
  • Google Cloud Platform Certification will be an added value
  • Good understanding of Migration between platforms and tools
  • Good understanding of Data integration, Data Quality and data architecture
  • Hands on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) on GCS, Bigtable, BigQuery a plus
  • Proficient in Python programming for building and automating data pipelines
  • Knowledge on
    • Systems: UNIX/Linux or Windows
    • Networking: protocols, concepts etc (HTTP, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP).
    • PaaS/Developer: ability to read, understand code and familiarity with Cloud PaaS and storage products.
  • Understanding and hands-on programming/scripting experience skills – UNIX shell, Perl, and JavaScript
  • Ability to use existing troubleshooting tools and techniques to establish root cause for queries and provide a customer facing root cause assessment.
  • Perform internal classification queries documenting classes of problems and preventative actions for further retroactive analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
