Description We are seeking a Director of Accounting in the healthcare industry, based in Austin, Texas. This role involves overall financial management and coordination of operational results, assessing business trends, providing strategic support, and addressing root causes of operation issues. The position is centered around driving business results by identifying opportunities and influencing operations leadership to take actions that drive financial improvements. Responsibilities: Understand business complexities, solve problems, and make decisions through inclusive contributions of others Create and provide monthly presentations to management at location, region, and consolidated results Lead and present monthly operating reviews with GVPs and ensure they are consistently scheduled Collaborate as a cross-functional business partner providing site support and analysis in developing strategic plans, annual operating plans/budgets, and rolling forecasts Develop a deep understanding of location issues, able to be in the details and then simplify for operations and finance leadership Support the development and execution of site plans, leading indicators, Key Performance Indicators, and trending metrics Monitor and communicate monthly Risks and Opportunities Monitor weekly revenue and proactively communicate risks or changes in practice operations Drive process improvements to streamline reporting, analytics, forecasting processes Drive data enhancements through data warehouse and adaptive to support process improvement and enhanced analytics Support and synthesize the analysis of site decisions, including site transfers and site expansions Ensure process and review for standardized and effective site performance reviews, continuous improvement reviews, profit bridge analytics, and capital investment returns. This role requires proficiency in various skills including Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a related accounting role within the Healthcare or NHS industry Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential Knowledge and hands-on experience with Concur are necessary Familiarity with DCAA regulations and guidelines Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must Demonstrated experience in handling Accounting Functions Must have a strong understanding and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Auditing is a requirement Must have experience in managing Budget Processes Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
