Red Oak Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Backend Java Developer for our client in Austin, TX for a 12 months contract.Backend Java Developer (Austin TX)Qualifications: - The Consultant must be able to relocate to Austin TX by the start date- 4+ years of experience building applications with Java- Technical Stack: Java, Cassandra, Spark, REST API’s, Tomcat- Building highly scalable and efficient solutions using distributed systems - Comfortable with full stack development - Ability to work on multi-faceted, cross-functional projects- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer ScienceResponsibilities: - Identify and communicate problems and deliver technical solutions. - Build machine learning infrastructure, data pipelines, and backend solutions to support internal applied machine learning teams.- REST API design and implementation- Build web services using servers such as Tomcat- Debug and resolve issues, support multiple projects and services, and work cross-functionally to develop holistic solutions
