ARCHITEXAS Austin is seeking a full-time Project Architect beginning immediately.
Job description
Lead development of design and technical aspects of architectural projects through construction documents and
construction, including regulatory reviews.
Manage multiple small to medium size architectural projects including coordination of consultants, preparation of design and construction drawings and specifications, bidding, and construction administration.
Qualifications
Professional degree in architecture required; advanced degree or graduate level studies in historic preservation or 5
years minimum working experience in the preservation field a plus.
5 – 7 years experience working in an architectural firm.
Proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD 2015 or higher for drawing and drafting is required.
Competence in Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), MS Office and MS Project
is a plus.
Experience in field measuring and accurately converting measured drawings into CAD drawings is required.
Possesses thorough knowledge of design and construction document detailing.
Conscientious, detail oriented, desire to take on responsibility.
Excellent writing/communication skills;
Ability to prepare historic structure reports, condition assessments, and similar technical reports making treatment
recommendations a plus.
Must be willing to attend site visits. Some travel out of town will occasionally be required.
