Engineering Technician / CAD

About us:

We’re an engineering firm that specializes in accident investigation and reconstruction. We evaluate claims from a science and engineering perspective for our clientele which includes attorneys and insurance companies. Our accident reconstructionists collect and analyze data, prepare reports and present their technical reports in deposition testimony and trial. The engineering technician will assist with accident reconstruction activities in producing deliverables to our clients such as diagrams, demonstratives animations, engineering data, evidence, etc.

Responsibilities:

Analyze project requirements, gather relevant data, and develop a workflow plan that best addresses the project.

Review and analyze an array of various types of data which would include, but is not limited to, survey data, crash data, 3D models, pictures, and video, etc.

Generate 2D drawings/animations, engineering data, 3D animations, and miscellaneous demonstratives as needed

Conduct field inspections, as needed. Travel mileage, lodging, and per diem is reimbursed. Must have reliable transportation.

Position Information:

Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting from $70,000 or greater depending on experience.

Work Location: Austin, TX 78733

Requirements:

Associate degree in Design Engineering/Drafting or equivalent work experience

AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)

3D Software (3DS max): 2 years (Required)

Simulation: (Engineering and/or VFX) (Preferred)

Excel: 1 year (Required)

Numeric Analytical Skills.

3D animation: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute (Required)

Valid drivers license: Producible TxDPS driving record (Required)
