Electronic TechnicianType: Contract W-2 HourlyLocation: Austin, Texas (onsite)Length: 9+ months Responsible for working on special assignments and prototype development projects. Works from developed test plans and written or verbal instructions. Constructs, troubleshoots, and tests prototype assemblies, as well as assists engineers in the development process and test phase of prototype systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Sets up, configures, and tests prototype systems and software.
- Assembles and disassembles prototype systems as necessary.
- Researches and learns new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products.
- Sets up and operates calibrates electronic test equipment, and verifies its working condition maintains its working condition.
- Manages inventory of components and equipment.
- 3+ year’s experience; 5 preferred
- Electronics Certifications
- Strong IT background
- Strong understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues
- Strong technical understanding of computer hardware and sub-assemblies
- Strong proficiency in reading and understanding technical schematics, drawings, and data sheets
- Inventory management
