Sterling Classical School is a Christian, Classical, college preparatory model that partners with PreK-12th grade parents to produce well-rounded students that are solid in their faith. We integrate the Charlotte-Mason philosophy into our delivery of instruction because we believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in hands-on learning.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Candidate will be a strong Christian and have a nurturing and loving disposition with young children.
· Demonstrate a willingness to continue to grow and learn as an Early Childhood Professional.
· Desire to partner with parents in educating students.
· Agree with our Statement of Faith (available on our website)
· Follow the curriculum provided.
· Post lesson plans for Tuesday/Thursday
· Assess students in the areas of social/emotional readiness and pre-kindergarten skills.
· Work as a team with partner teachers and staff members.
· Be passionate about a Christian, Classical education with a hands-on approach to create a love of learning.
· Possess a background in child development, education, or early childhood and relevant teaching experience with preschool age children.
On-Campus Time Requirements:
· This position requires the candidate to be on campus on Tuesday/Thursday from 7:30am-3:45pm from August 13th- May 8th.
· Attend all school functions per your contract.
· Attend training during the summer and all back-to-school events the week of August 5th.
This is a 2 day per week position from August-May. Please do not apply if you need a full time position.
