Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking to hire a part-time Bookkeeper / Accounting Consultant with Office Manager like responsibilities to service 3-5 small companies with 29 or less employees, all headquartered in Texas.

Main tasks will include

- Daily/ weekly account activity updates including posting bank activity charges, processing AP & recording client payments

- Generating AP, AR & billing reports bi-weekly, or as needed

- Monthly billing for 2-3 clients

- Processing payroll for 2-3 clients

- Onboarding new hires / Offboarding terminations

- Assist in annual insurance renewals & audits

- Manage day-to-day relationships with clients while performing within established processes and budget parameters.

- Checking virtual office mail & voicemail; Forwarding messages & mail as needed

The requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:

- Proven experience as a seasoned bookkeeper, accounting manager, assistant controller or other similar position

- 3-5 years of experience of full cycle and transactional accounting experience

- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations

- Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software

- Well-organized with ability to prioritize

- Very good communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Experience in a multi-client environment, highly preferred.

- Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses, highly preferred.

- Experience using QuickBooks or similar cloud-based accounting software for/in a professional organization.

- Capacity and commitment to work 15-20 hours a week during traditional daytime business hours.

- Confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve issues.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to follow established policies and procedures consistently and accurately.

- A passion for and sense of personal satisfaction in delighting clients and helping small businesses succeed.

- Ability to develop strong remote team and client relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices.

- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.

- A dedicated distraction free workspace with access to reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Job Type: Part-time

Benefits: None

Physical Setting: Remote w/ occasional in office client meetings; access to co-working/ office share space available

Schedule: Flexible with some availability during CST business hours 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday

Education minimum: Associates in Accounting or Accounting Certification required, QBO Certification preferred

Must be able to pass background check and sign NDA/ Confidentiality agreement.
