Is that you?Main Office: Texas Health Central Staffing Office - 612 E Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011Work Locations: The main office for the Central Staffing Office is in Arlington, TX but you will primarily be working in Region A.Work hours: PRN, must be available to work 36 hours/week.Shift: variable Day and Night Shifts (no self-scheduling).Regions are as follows:Region A: Allen, Frisco, Plano, Dallas, Prosper, Rockwall, Kaufman and Center for Diagnostics & Surgery PlanoRegion B: Denton, Flower Mound, Southlake, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Heart & Vascular, Alliance, and AzleRegion C: Fort Worth, Southwest, Cleburne, Clearfork, Burleson, Willow Park and the Specialty Hospital.Position Highlights:Texas Health Central Staffing Office – internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all THR hospitals. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex based on the needs of the business. The Central Staffing Office is broken into particular zones, but in the event that your primary zone does not have any needs, you must be open to being floated to outside, neighboring zones.Here’s What you Need· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required· 3 years sterile processing experience required· CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required or· CBSPD – Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution upon hire required or· CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire requiredWhat You Will Do:
Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the SPM system.
Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower
Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method
Operates sterilizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the department’s policy.
Demonstrates procedure for removal of items following sterilization
Effectively handles all chemical and cleaning agents used for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Follows safe lifting techniques as well as proper techniques for handling instruments
Demonstrates processing and distribution of special medical emergency carts, and Urology carts
Other duties as assigned
