As the CONHI has a wide range of ongoing research programs, directed by our many talented, independent faculty, the Research Faculty positions are expected to assist within an existing research program or help establish newly funded research programs within an area that strengthens or complements ongoing research. Responsibilities also include developing and submitting external, sponsored research proposals to support the work of the lab.Required QualificationsApplicants must have an earned PhD and post-doctoral research experience in one of the research areas within the scope of the CONHI. Related methodological background.Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with a track record of research and scholarly activity in the respective field/discipline of the CONHI faculty-led research lab or program. This activity may include scholarly publications, given methodological experience(s), and a record of activity associated with funded projects, among other research-related experiences.Special Conditions for EligibilityDepartment InformationThe Department of Kinesiology, in the College of Nursing and Nursing and Health Innovation, improves human health by advancing the understanding of health and disease across the lifespan through research, education, scholarship, and practice. Our mission is committed to providing quality educational programs that emphasize scientific theory, hands-on learning in the laboratory setting, and real-world application through clinical internships and other field-based experiences.The Department of Kinesiology is comprised of three undergraduate programs, which include a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program with tracks in Clinical & Applied Physiology, Health, Fitness & Wellness, and Motor & Rehabilitation Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with tracks in Physical Education Teacher Education and Sport Leadership and Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.
