The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to join UTA during an exciting period of growth and contribute as the university broadens its impact.Job SummaryTo coordinate the Residential Outreach Counseling (ROC) program. The program is designed to increase access to campus behavioral health services, provide preventative programming focused on mental health and wellness and provide consultation and support to students and residence life staff during and after critical incidents.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate staff coverage to provide health services in residential communities on campus.
Collaborate with residence life staff to conduct needs assessments for residential communities and develop preventative programing focused on mental health and wellness to address student needs.
Provide direct services including individual and group counseling to assist clients with complex personal, social and career concerns.
Facilitate psychoeducational groups, workshops and outreach activities in the residential communities.
Provide counseling, consultation, and support to students and residence life staff during and after critical incidents.
Complete clinical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or Counseling with Three (3) years of experience in a counseling setting and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Licensed Mental Health Provider.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a college mental health environment.
JocKnowledge, skills and abilities: Microsoft office suite, presentation and organizational skills.
