Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Argyle, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records and reports, assisting in account reconciliations, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, such as general ledger entries, balance sheets, and income statements Carry out account, credit card, and bank reconciliations diligently, ensuring discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations Assist in accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and collections Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts Conduct internal audits to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal controls Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation to support audit processes Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the Controller, demonstrating proficiency in software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger operations Ability to make Journal Entries accurately Experience in Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
