Description Robert Half is leading the search on an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Controller in Angleton, Texas. This role is integral to their organization, primarily responsible for the preparation and reporting of financial statements, managing all operations in the accounting department, and coordinating external audits. The Controller will also oversee financial planning and analysis, as well as manage a new inventory management system.Responsibilities: Timely preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Statements Conduct monthly review of all financial activities, identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, reconcile intercompany accounts Prepare monthly adjusting journal entries for the balance sheet and income statement Manage all operations in the accounting department, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, revenue recognition, inventory accounting and fixed assets Coordinate external audit and liaise with auditors to facilitate the audit process Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and identify areas for improvement Monitor company’s cash flow movement and ensure proper funding communication to the President Introduce and manage a new inventory management system Assist with periodic physical inventory audits as required Review credit limits, and process/approve credit applications for new customers based on the company’s Risk Management policy Supervise the accounting team by reviewing daily entries and activities to ensure accuracy Maintain sufficient awareness of operating company risks, operational issues, and challenges to allow for proactive intervention when required and provide detailed updates to the President.Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Capable of performing all accounting functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven skills in auditing and budgeting processes Demonstrated experience in process improvement Knowledge of GAAP Accounting Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Ability to manage month-end close processesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
