We are also Joint Commission Acute Heart Attack Ready (AHAR) Disease specific certified.Job DescriptionClinical/Business OperationsStaffing department based on volume making adjustments as necessary.Managing payroll ensuring that time is being recorded and paid appropriately. Minimize manual payroll corrections through weekly review of payroll data.Ensuring employee attendance at town halls, brown bags, and employee forums.Ensures the department complies with regulatory standards.Ensures appropriate coverage within the department at all times.Facilitate timely equipment repairs. Make alternate arrangements to ensure that patient care is not compromised when equipment is down.Develops, implements, and evaluates programs and initiatives in order to meet volume, financial, quality, and service standards.Makes recommendations and adjustments when appropriate to achieve objectives and integrate THA services across departments.Collaborates to set goals for the Radiology service line that are in line with strategic initiatives.Accountable for programs that enhance patient safety and participates in hospital safety initiatives.Ensures patient exams are completed correctly and in a timely manner.Knowledgeable of equipment technical parameters adjust techniques appropriately for age related factors to compensate for attenuation based on tissue types and pathology.Ensure staff compliance with safe administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with product guidelines for injection rates.Ensure staff compliance with physician's orders and requisitions to ensure accuracy of exam and relevant clinical information.Maintains patient safety and confidentialityAssess level of patient careDemonstrates knowledge of contrast mediaIdentifies and validates examDemonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures.Analyzes, implements and evaluates current and new services within the service area.Reviews, recommends, develops and implements policies, procedures, programs, and standards, which guide and support the provision of services, regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards.Initiates/collaborates with new program developmentFacilitate timely equipment repairs. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients. Ongoing education of staff on service expectations, including service recovery. Effective use of Leader Listening Rounds to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Exemplifies service excellence and service recovery behaviors.Patient Satisfaction: Patient satisfaction indicators have been met. Review Press Ganey patient satisfaction data to determine trends and develop/implement action plans to ensure high levels of satisfaction are maintained. Reviews all patient, physician, and visitor comments regularly addressing identified issues in a timely manner with appropriate follow up. Appropriately responds to patient distress/emergency with notification, equipment, and supplies. Recognizes patients emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.Quality and Performance ImprovementDepartment Specific: Implements and monitors continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient care delivery and satisfaction, physician satisfaction, efficiency of care and clinical outcomes. Accountable for programs that enhance patient safety and participates in hospital safety initiatives. Identifies key performance indicators as appropriate for patient safety initiatives in areas of responsibility. Understands image quality, physics, and safety to public and self and can apply these principles. Ensure image quality Demonstrates knowledge of quality control Ensure department compliance with quality indicators (hand hygiene, patient identifiers, time out, etc?Ǫ).Hospital Based: Understand basic core measure standards and be able to describe how these measures relate to our strategic objectives. Develop a plan for incorporating core measure compliance into daily workflow. Develop a plan for educating, measuring, monitoring, and improving performance on the patient safety KPIs, including hand hygiene, patient identifiers, and timeouts if applicable. Create a mechanism for continuous quality improvement on the individual unit, to include at least one focused project per year in an area of need identified by the unit.
