Description Our Addison Texas client is seeking a senior accountant for a 3 to 4 month engagement. In office full time til ramped up, then Hybrid. ERP is a cloud based version of SAGE. Start ASAPResponsibilities: Oversee financial audits and ensure their accurate and timely completion. Evaluate current staff performance and internal processes, identifying areas for improvement. Implement and manage a cloud-based version of Sage, enhancing its reporting capabilities. Conduct account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Manage general ledger and journal entries, ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks, including data analysis and report generation. Conduct month-end close procedures, verifying all financial data and resolving any discrepancies. Use Sage Intacct for various accounting and financial management tasks. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting and financial policies, regulations, and standards. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, providing guidance and information as needed.Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Should have a minimum of five years of experience in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Must have experience with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Sage Intacct software is preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required Must have a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Should be able to work independently as well as part of a team Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards is necessary.
