Mortgage Servicing Specialist Lead

Job Description:

Reviews delinquent loans and validates that investor/insurer, state, and regulatory requirements have been met in order to minimize financial losses to the bank and protect the consumer. May sign documents declaring compliance with state and investor foreclosure requirements. Handles routine foreclosure referral reviews with oversight by senior staff and managers. Will communicate with senior staff and management to identify and resolve impediments to foreclosure in order to ensure timely completion of the foreclosure referral process. Typically will have more than 5 years of mortgage servicing experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage business and general office skills.

· Key skills include: critical thinking, analytical, strategic, effective written and spoken communication, and interpersonal skills

· Strong problem solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities/multi-task/Adaptability

· Attention to detail

Desired Skills:

· Foreclosure & Default Servicing Experience,

· Mortgage Servicing Platform & PEGA Platform Experience

· Knowledge of Mortgage Documents

Supports the servicing of mortgage loans. Work will vary based on associate's department. May entail working on default and/or non-defaulted loans. Responsibilities may include processing routine transactions, documenting loan history, responding to customer, investor, or other 3rd party inquiries, researching and/or preparing documentation, or analyzing requests in accordance with established guidelines and determining appropriate course of action. Handles more complex levels of transactions requiring subject matter expertise. Responsibilities include that of a Mort. Servicing Specialist III in addition to providing support and assistance to the Team Manager. Trains and mentors teammates, however does not have direct management responsibility (i.e. direct reports). Typically will have more than 5 years' experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage business and general office skills.
