Database Administrator

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Database Administrator in the service industry. Our team in Addison, Texas, United States requires a skilled individual who can assess and optimize our database environment. Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive assessment of our current database environment to identify areas of improvement and potential challenges. Develop a strategic roadmap for database management, including identifying major changes needed and potential resolutions. Administer quick fixes to immediate issues in the database environment as part of ongoing maintenance. Leverage skills in Linux Technologies, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL for database administration and management. Utilize expertise in Optimization and AB Testing to ensure the effectiveness of changes implemented. Employ knowledge of Backup Technologies and Cluster Analysis to safeguard our data and ensure its integrity. Manage database configurations using Configuration Management skills to ensure optimal performance. Constantly monitor the database environment and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations. Requirements Proficient in Linux Technologies and Microsoft Azure Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Demonstrated ability in Optimization and AB Testing Knowledge of Backup Technologies Familiarity with Cluster Analysis Expertise in Configuration Management Proven experience in Database Administration Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work in a team environment.
