Caribbean Solar Company (CSC) is seeking a self-motivated Solar Electrician & Installer with extensive electrical and solar experience to join our growing team. This is a very unique hybrid full-time opportunity to work with a 12-year-old established, reputable, and growing company in the US Virgin Islands while advancing your career in the renewable energy industry.

CSC is a full-service solar photovoltaic sales and installation company, and a certified Tesla Powerwall Installer. We offer grid-tied, battery backup and off-grid solutions to customers in the US Virgin Islands. CSC has a solid reputation for high-quality installations and excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a willingness and openness to embrace a dynamic hybrid role, where daily responsibilities may vary. They will also have a passion for renewable energy, be motivated to excel in the workplace, be professional, reliable and determined to provide excellent customer service to our clients. They will cultivate a positive work environment, be flexible to work alone or with a team and apply critical thinking to overcome obstacles.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

-Assist with electrical systems design for solar and battery systems

-Manage electrical inventory and track job materials

-Teach and support team members with less electrical knowledge

-Perform roof and electrical room work, including system layout, mounting attachments, running conduit, and installing solar panels

-Handle groundwork, including layout, electrical panel installation, and solar conduit planning

-Troubleshoot electrical, solar, and battery issues, process RMAs, and liaise with manufacturers

-Provide emergency services, including night and weekend calls

-Install monitoring equipment and supplementary components like surge protectors

-Supervise crew as needed, ensuring adherence to company standards

-Interact respectfully with customers from diverse backgrounds

-Maintain cleanliness of job sites, trucks, and warehouse

-Skilled in troubleshooting, project management, and installation

-Able to interpret and follow project plans accurately

-Familiar with general construction practices

-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unique situations

-Commitment to at least one year after initial trial period

-Verifiable professional references

Experience required:

-Minimum 3 years electrical experience

-Minimum 2 years experience in the solar industry

-Experienced in both residential and commercial installations

-Experience in both residential and commercial installations

-Experience with DC and AC wiring

-Commissioning PV systems and Powerwalls, troubleshooting and maintaining optimal performance through monitoring

-Preferably a Journeyman Electrician or nearing certification

-Prefer experience with battery backup and off-grid systems

-Familiar with general construction
