Reservations Agent

JOB TITLE: RESERVATIONS AGENT

Gallows Point Resort in Cruz Bay, St. John is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable person to fill a part-time Reservations Agent position. Candidates should be ready to start ASAP!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Be familiar and comply with the Gallows Point Resort Employee Handbook.

Responsible for smooth operation of Reservations Department.

To deal with problems as they arise in a professional manner, with the understanding that the guest’s needs and concerns are paramount.

Comply with all property/departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security.

Perform Job Duties as outlined

JOB DUTIES:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Proficient use of our booking software

The position is responsible for Reservations, confirmations, advance deposits and any other aspect of client accounts for seamless check-ins.

Site visits and property tours, Wedding and group bookings.

Updating and managing web booking interfaces, as well as wholesaler close-outs and reservations.

Renewing contracts for wholesaler future contracts (to be reviewed and approved by GM)

Cross-training in front desk department; flexibility to cover Front Desk shift when requested

Ability to learn and explain in promotional rates and packages.

Ensure monthly release of expired deposits

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with guests, employees and managers.

Ability to read and write in English (if you are bi-lingual that's a plus!)

Knowledge of basic computer skills (including Excel & Word) and ability to learn hotel CRM software

Ability to interact with guests, employees and managers in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner.

Ability to multi-task, answer phones, and communicate effectively via email

HOURS:

Part-time: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 - 8:30 p.m.
