Manufacturing Technology Eng/Scientist (Job Number: 207116W-01)DescriptionManagement of technical
aspects of the assigned product line. This includes providing planning with an
update on materials with technical difficulties to manufacture, completion of
RBIs for materials that are rejected, completion of MRBs for materials where
the disposition code is to be upgraded, review of slow moving inventory,
review, management of non-approved inventory and maintenance of technical file
of materials.Responsible for materials
within the assigned product line in scale up within the plant. They work
closely with regional marketing, sales, product management research and quality
managers to ensure that both internal operation and customer needs are met.
Completion of documentation and reviews according to global procedure GP-007.
This also includes timely completion of QP38 and QP50 documentation as needed.
Required to help in developing processes and specifications to yield long term
consistent output in volume manufacturing.To implement improvements in
production process to product lines and document these appropriately (including
use of GP-001). This will likely include interaction with other functions
onsite, e.g maintenance, IT, manufacturing…Completion of any safety
(including PSM) related documentation (including test authorizations) for any
plan scale up, qualification or experimental materials.Participation in daily planning
meeting and staff meeting as stipulated by technical duties rota.To perform review of
operating procedures to ensure to impact of PSM PT element of proposed changes.Assist in specification
setting for new equipment to be introduced to the manufacturing environment.Offering of non-conforming or
experimental materials to sister sites/customers as prescribed by procedure.Adhere to and set the example

successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

with co-workers. Position requires frequent contact with Manufacturing,
Quality Control, Shipping, Vendors, Sales, Customers and other business areas
to exchange information.Bachelor degree in Chemistry,
Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences; an extensive technical background,
and usually 4 years or more experience as a practicing engineer in process
development, plant's technical assistance, or production.Ability to read, analyzes, and
interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients,
customers, and the general public. Excellent oral/written skills in
English/Spanish.Ability to apply advanced
mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equation, and
permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as
frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity,
analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor
analysis.Ability to solve practical
problems and deal with a variety of concrete in situations where only limited
standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with abstract
and concrete variables.Ability to apply principles
of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical
problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific
equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult
phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Six sigma certification
(Green or Black belt) is preferred, where this is not available prior to
starting the role, individual will have this as part of their training package.The physical demands
