Position Description:Position Summary: The Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for executing commercial strategy at the Market Unit level: Ownership of PicOS execution planning and stewardship. Identify highest leverage opportunities and communicate effectively with the sales team. Responsible for Market Unit commercial capability building, including stewardship of execution culture (scorecard tracking & performance management). Partner with Commercial Operations Director to identify and facilitate local commercial marketing opportunities. Lead ordering, inventory, deployment, tracking & analysis of all in-outlet merchandising in support of strategic PicOS, at the local Market Unit level. Help facilitate cross-franchise brand partnerships at the Market Unit level (Dr. Pepper, Monster, VEB/Fairlife). Steward brand and asset acceleration programs based on local opportunities, including Multicultural plans. Lead “are we ready” routines in the Market Unit for major initiatives (innovation, big event marketing, etc.).Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Ensure connectivity between execution goals, customer plans and Look of Success/PicOS Plan

Market Unit Contingency Plans: Facilitate adjustments that are required to get channel (Traditional Retail, or Food Service/ On Premise) plan back on track. Prioritization of brand / package / channel emphasis or initiatives

Best utilization of budgets for messaging, equipment, merchandising, etc.

Ability to recognize brand / channel opportunities to either accelerate growth or leverage strengths

Influence the design and development of Point of Sale materials and implement channel messaging guidelines in plans

Serve as “Commercial Voice of the Market Unit” upstream

Lead Business Unit Commercial Projects (e.g. Channel SME, Pillar Program SME)

Merchandising material orders

Execution/Initiative Performance & Stewardship (80% of time):

Communicate Market Unit plans, with clearly defined Picture of Success, accountabilities & timelines

Drive Market Unit RED performance

Responsible for reviewing & summarizing initiative performance reports & stewarding action plans in support of the weekly/monthly management routines

Execution Leadership – Identify and prioritize Market Unit opportunities, recommend solutions, and rally resources to execute initiatives

Analyze data, identify local opportunities and recommend solutions

Work with Market Unit General Manager and sales teams to understand business needs & competitive activity

Partner with Brand Director to coordinate cross license team in-market activities with Market Unit leadership

Local Point of Sale Materials Stewardship (10% of time):

Facilitate the ordering of Point of Sale supplies for assigned Market Unit and channel from item quantity selection to distribution center delivery

Track Point of Sale spending to allocated budgets

Coordinate Point of Sale spend performance reporting with Region Finance and Procurement teams

Business Commercial Initiative Ownership (10% of time):

Subject matter expert to build and steward commercial initiative that impacts the greater Business Unit:

Large Store Channel Strategy

Small Store Channel Strategy

Food Service/ On Premise Channel Strategy

Business Pillar Program Lead

Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:Required Skills and Experience:

Proven track record of achieving sustainable results

Ability to influence and inspire teams to drive towards a unified goal

Bachelor’s degree

5-7 years’ experience in sales/account management, commercial execution or marketing, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry

Experience building and monitoring execution action plans.

Strong commercial planning skills

Ability to draw insights and take action

Execution bias for action

Brand Acumen – positioning, role, occasions

Capability in Margin Minder

Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels

Strong negotiation skills

Strong organization and planning skills

Strong Communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail

This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

8+ years’ experience in sales/account management, commercial execution or marketing,, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry

Experience calling on customers (Retail, Food Service/On Premise)

Field experience

Brand and channel management experience

Leadership within strategy and planning

Experience managing multiple local activation programs

Knowledge of brand strategy and application across channels, including local marketing.

Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation and ability to localize for customers
