Description We are in search of a Buyer to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Rockwood, Tennessee. As a Buyer, you will be tasked with managing purchase orders, maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. This role also involves maintaining accurate records and working closely with the management team.Responsibilities: Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and work on improving lead times for deliveries Manage the receiving process for materials and updates from suppliers Enter RFQ data into the system accurately and timely Review and manage the inventory of raw materials on a weekly basis with the management team Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions Apply communication skills to effectively maintain vendor files and negotiate buying processes Use Microsoft Excel for material planning and tracking purchase orders Ensure the RFQ process is followed and all necessary information is accurately recorded.For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interviewRequirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer role or similar position Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Knowledge of accounting functions and their application to buying processes Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Experience in material planning and purchase orders Familiarity with the RFQ process and maintaining vendor files Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong negotiation and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
