(BNI), Bechtel’s government services business, is one of the top providers to departments and agencies of the U.S. and British governments. Its successes include many large, first-of-a-kind projects in government site management, environmental restoration, defense, space, energy, and national and homeland security. This position will provide support to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.UPF will be a first-of-its-kind complex for enriched uranium operations in support of Y-12 missions. UPF is one of the Department of Energy’s largest investments in Tennessee since the Manhattan Project and one of the National Nuclear Security Administration’s largest construction projects. When complete, UPF will: replace a 70-year-old facility with modern buildings, reduce operational costs and energy consumption, improve worker safety, and provide enriched uranium capabilities well into the future.The UPF project works a 4/10s schedule and may be changed to support project needs. Start times are flexible but the standard work week is: Monday Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. The work location includes onsite construction facilities as well as offsite office facilities, position can be assigned to any work location and can be changed to support project need.Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site. Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check. All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable.Position SummaryThis position has accountability to the Office Services Manager and performs the daily office services functions, such as space allocation and planning, office moves, facility operations, building modifications, building access and security controls, key control, telecommunications, mail and shipping, government fleet vehicles, office supplies, furniture and equipment coordination of building maintenance, conference rooms and miscellaneous services. Position requires complex coordination of activities between Bechtel, Y-12, CNS, building landlords, contractors, project management and project personnel.Responsibilities

Coordinates with building owners/property managers to ensure safe operation, maintenance and repair of building infrastructure and systems.

Performs periodic walk downs to identify and correct deficiencies.

Plans, organizes and sequences move information essential to executing moves.

Utilizes electronic facilities request system to review and process requests, coordinates activities with requestor and follows through to completion.

Prepares, or provides input, to work planning.

Escorts building owners and subcontractors as needed.

Maintains project roster through usage of project software.

Maintains office floorplans through usage of Microsoft Visio.

Coordinates facility security requirements compliance with CNS Security.

Coordinates with property management to disposition damaged/broken and excess items.

Trains others in the use of software applications used for document management activities.

May handle highly sensitive, business proprietary information.

Must be able to work effectively in an extremely high-paced, high-energy environment.

Must be flexible and willing to adjust to changing priorities.

Strives to support Bechtel’s “zero-accident” philosophy through personal safe behavior/work practices and by being aware of surroundings and activities that may be potential safety hazards. Takes steps to correct or minimize hazards.

Ability to work overtime on short notice, as required.

Performs other O&AS work assignments as requested by managers.

Qualifications and SkillsBasic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of related experience.

Must be a US citizen.

Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.

Must be able to obtain security badge for access to work location.

Minimum Qualification

Effective interpersonal skills with a positive, customer service-oriented attitude.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with project team members at all levels of the organization.

Must be proactive, possess strong organizational skills, use individual initiative, follow assignments through to completion, be attentive to detail, produce quality products, and adhere to tight deadlines.

Ability to handle routine items independently.

Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

Ability to push, pull or lift up 50 lbs, including bulky items. Ensuring that appropriate mechanical equipment, or an additional team member, is utilized for items weighing above 50 lbs.

Must possess beginning to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 2010 suite of products (Word, Excel and Outlook). A skills test will be administered to test proficiency.

Ability to work overtime and be available to respond to emergency events 24/7.

Ability to operate government vehicle in performance of tasks, including possessing a current valid driver’s license.
