This dynamic role blends the precision of warehouse operations with the satisfaction of ensuring our ethically sourced coffee reaches our valued customers fresh and on time.
Job Description:
We are seeking an optimistic and consistent individual to join our team as a Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and their team members, and also enjoys working quickly and efficiently. This role involves delivering locally which will require some physical labor.
Our team is responsible for ensuring daily fresh-roasted coffee is packaged, packed, and delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will take satisfaction from completing tasks promptly and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Importantly, as the face of our company to our customers, the delivery driver must have professional communication skills and be able to engage with customers to ensure they are aware of all the products we offer.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Driver:
Ensure all delivery orders are accurately filled and accompanied by correct invoices
Organize and complete delivery routes efficiently, ensuring all time-sensitive orders are delivered within their receiving time window
Pick up coffee containers from certain locations regularly
Communicate with customers during deliveries, providing information about our product offerings and addressing any questions or concerns
Identify and resolve order issues with the customer care team
Maintain cleanliness and perform basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle
Adhere to all applicable driving and parking laws
Drive to suppliers' warehouses to pick up inventory
Warehouse Assistant:
Package coffee for delivery
Stock warehouse and maintain facility cleanliness
Break down pallets and stock products such as; teas, syrups, cups, and lids
Maintain the Product Pars Checklists and communicate with the Production Supervisor, Office Administrator, or General Manager about product levels
Perform occasional maintenance and warehouse tasks as requested
Work Schedule:
5 shifts per week, approximately 8 hours per shift
Monday - Friday (No Weekends)
Typical hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flexible start and finish times)
Extra shifts may be available occasionally
Requirements
Valid Class C driver's license, held for at least 3 years
Proof of clean driving record
Experience driving delivery vehicles
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the workday
Ability to pull and push a loaded hand cart without assistance
Ability to enter and exit the cab and cargo area without assistance
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to engage with customers and inform them about our range of products
Strong attention to detail
Clean cut and professional appearance
Flexibility to work additional hours
Reliability and punctuality are a MUST
Preferred Skills
Safely and efficiently operate various delivery vans
Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English
Positivity and energetic ability to work with a creative and dedicated team
Love of coffee is a plus!
