We are looking to bring on a new member of our Inspector team as an Inspector's Assistant. This is a great position for someone looking for part time work in the field, with the opportunity for more. SUMMARY:
Primarily "in the field" work, on property sites. Responsible for gaining a working knowledge of & performing the tasks involved with equipment drop offs & pick ups under direct supervision of a Master Inspector.
SCHEDULE:
3-5 days per week (no weekends). Typically 8:30am-12:30pm, with the opportunity for additional hours as needed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Lead Inspector on site at home inspections with equipment, photographing, documenting & various types of add on inspections & testing.
Utilize working knowledge of residential construction to assist realtors and home buyers in the purchase of a home.
Be a guide and calming presence for home buyers
Assist Inspector in creating a list of significant defects of a property for sale (1.5-3 hour process)
Assist Inspector in presenting defects of a home in a positive objective manner distinguishing between common and uncommon defects
Handling of equipment- Professional set up & breakdown on property sites
Coordinating access to homes with Realtors via phone/email as needed
Delivering testing results from the equipment, by email through our software
Timely reports & tracking of all drops, pick ups, calibrations & duplicate testing events for our radon analysis equipment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Drivers license, vehicle & car insurance required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma. Technical or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience within the construction field and/or inspections of related trades preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and write clearly. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and realtors. This employee shall be required to have a complete command of the English language.
