Position Summary:Forklift Operators are responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. We are hiring immediately and offering the following:DET BeveragesLocation: Nashville, TNShift: Monday - Friday (Full Time); 11am or 12pm start timeMust be 18 years of AgePay: $19 per hourBenefits: Medical (default plan free to employee, spouse, and dependents), Dental and Vision (available first of the month following 30 days of employment, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays (8 Total), and 401k with Company match (after 60 days of employment)Career advancement opportunities after 6 months of employmentTuition reimbursement available after 1 year of employment Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Operate industrial vehicles and equipmentSafely and accurately receive inbound products (including rail), replenish inventory as needed and pull productLoad and unload designated trailers and/or route trucksUtilize various digital technologies or software such as bar code readers and RF ScannersRecognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customerRecognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discoveredPerform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environmentEnsure compliance with regulatory and company policies and proceduresOther projects or duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:Must be at least 18 years old6 months prior warehouse forklift experience6 months of related experience (i.e. working in a distribution warehouse environment, roofer, farmhand, grocery dock, construction, manipulating patients in a hospital/nursing home or physical therapy environment, or other positions which require continuous heavy lifting which deals with multi-temperature)Forklift certification is required or obtained immediately upon hireAbility to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift productDemonstrated attention to detailMust be able to pass a post-offer background check and drug test Preferred Skills and Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Forklift CertificationExperience working in a high-speed industrial environment or foodservice distribution center Physical Demands and Work Environment:Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 – 100 pounds.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
