Electroplating / NCG Production Technician

The Nickel Coated Graphite (NCG) Technician will mix, monitor, test, and balance a variety of chemicals according to specified procedures and protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs all steps necessary to maintain correct chemical balance or material mixture needed to support proper equipment operation, product quality, or other chemical needs.

Conducts chemical process tests, taking and measuring samples at specified intervals and stages.

Manages, mixes, and stores all compounds and chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.

Safely maintains and stores all relevant tools, instruments, measuring devices, and equipment to ensure proper function.

Adheres to applicable EPA regulations for proper labeling and disposal of chemical compounds and waste.

Maintains all records related to processes and chemicals used including material safety data sheets (MSDS) and equipment operation logs.

Identifies and reports problems and/or accidents to Plant Manager.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Plant Manager.

Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with excellent attention to details.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work well across a broad base of areas.

Ability to read and understand manuals and/or maintain proper records.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree highly preferred.

At least one year of related training as chemical technician or two years related manufacturing experience.

Proficient understanding of chemistry preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods, in addition to kneeling, bending, and stooping.

Ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs.

Benefits:

Pay up to $20 per hour (D.O.E.)

Monday through Friday

8:00am - 4:30pm (M-TH) & 6:00am - 2:30pm (F)
