Do you live near Portland, TN and are looking for a job? We have a full-time (or potentially two part times) position available.
The position is for a poultry farm that specializes in Coturnix quail. We also have various other poultry such as chickens, ducks, and emus.
We also have, breed snakes, so if you’re afraid of snakes that are secured in cages, this is not a good job for you.
Duties include, but are not limited to, mucking chicken pens, cleaning quail manure trays, assembling cages, putting up fencing, and other general labor and cleaning.
Must:
Have your own transportation
Be able to lift 50lb feed bags and other heavy stuff
Be able to drive a skid steer/willing to learn (if I can do it, you can totally learn)
Be willing to clean poop trays. Lots of poop trays
Not be afraid of 6’ tall birds or 6’ long snakes
Be willing to pretend you’re listening raptly while I talk endlessly about quail genetics until your ears bleed.
Days/hours can be flexible but must have morning availability. Will be a 1099 employee.
