Bellevue Eyecare Center is a busy two doctor private optometry practice established in 2007 that is in need of an experienced dispensing optician. We are looking for a friendly, upbeat person who is a team player and enjoys helping people select the right look and fit in their eyewear! The ability to do final inspection of glasses orders received, the ability to adjust glasses properly and make simple frame repairs (like replacing nosepads) is required.
You will be involved in placing eyeglass orders and contact lens orders. You will be asked to help keep things flowing smoothly by helping out in other office areas when necessary, such as answering the phone, making appointments, pre-authorizing insurances, and other responsibilities as assigned.
We see patients by appointment only, but we do work in eye urgencies. We sell quality medium to high end frames, including Tom Ford, Silhouettes, Jimmy Choo, Etnia Barcelona, as well as RayBans, Nine West, Kate Spade, Europa, Anne Klein, Flexon and Nike, to name a few. Our goal is to provide a positive, efficient visit for patients, provide fashionable eyewear, and to greet them and check them out in about an hour. We are not in network for VSP, and we like it! Over 30% of our patients are self-pay!
We are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays we close at 6:00 pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
We pay 50% of medical and dental insurance premiums after 3 months. We offer a 100% IRA match after three months of employment, 6 paid holidays, 10 paid days of vacation, and 3 days of sick pay/PTO after three months. Eye exams are at no charge to employees and immediate family. One pair of glasses or annual supply of contacts is provided free after 3 full months, and we give discounts on your family's eyewear.
