We are looking for passionate, talented, hard-working and engaged staff who can work as a team to give our guests a truly unique experience. At The Chef and I, we create chef tasting dinner menus with each chef bringing into them a piece of their personality and creativity. We also offer a core menu that highlights The Chef and I’s signature dishes as well as pasta and fish dishes using fresh catch ingredients. As a server assistant/food runner you must work closely with the chefs and be passionate about and understand every plate leaving the kitchen. This is perfect for a culinarian, a foodie or aspiring chef. You must be able to describe each dish in full to the guest when delivering each course throughout the evening. The dishes are consistently changing and adapting in a fluid manner. You must have a basic understanding of culinary terms and procedures to effectively communicate each dish.

Server Assistant Hourly Pay based on experience plus tips

You must be able to do the following:

· work in a high-volume environment and multitask while presenting excellence

· present a professional look and demeanor

· serve and describe dishes in a consistently changing menu

· communicate effectively with FOH and BOH

· ensure tickets are sold in the proper order and correctly delivered timely to each guest

· check that guests have the correct tableware for each course

· help pre-bus when necessary and ensure each guest is ready for the next course

· respond effectively to guests’ questions and requests

· must be able to walk up and down stairs consistently while carrying plates

GENERAL NEEDS -Positive friendly upbeat personality -Stays calm under pressure and works well in a team capacity -Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds -Responsible, Well-organized, Attention to detail

-Strong work ethic is a must -Reliable transportation and a Valid driver’s license required
