DescriptionTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Test Electricians for projects located in Newport News, VA . This is an opportunity with all shifts available and the pay rate is up to $27.31/hour based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. General deck electrical work
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the electrical field Industrial Marine or Commercial Nuclear applications
Must be able to accurately read and make measurements with tools including tape measures and stick rulers
Must be able to read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings wiring tables schematics and work packages
Must have a basic understanding of DC AC Motors
Must hold US citizenship to meet necessary badging requirements
Must be able to read and identify equipment and component label plates
Must be knowledgeable in lockout/tag out and hazardous energy control procedures
Test and inspect low medium and high-voltage cable installations
Ability to troubleshoot electrical performance deficiencies
The ability to read schematics and determine the cause of the fault in the system drawings and components
Physically able to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders crawl bend stoop work at heights and work in confined spaces
