The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Information Technology Audit reviews for compliance with CJIS Security Policy across criminal agencies, non-criminal agencies, and private contractors with access to CJIS information and systems. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of criminal justice information and the systems that handle them.What You’ll Do

Conduct IT audits to ensure compliance with the CJIS Security Policy for all relevant agencies and contractors in Louisiana

Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and risk management processes

Identify areas of non-compliance and potential risk within IT systems and processes

Recommend improvements to information security policies and procedures

Coordinate with agency heads and IT departments to verify that corrective actions are implemented

Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations in written reports and verbal presentations to management

Stay current with CJIS Security Policy updates and IT audit best practices

Collaborate with other auditors and teams to complete audit projects

Participate in the development and review of the annual audit plan

What You’ll NeedRequired:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Information Security and Risk Management

Solid understanding of Information Technology Administration

Familiarity with the CJIS Security Policy and its application within IT audits

Professional certification such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent is preferred

Ability to interpret and apply federal and state compliance requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High level of integrity and professionalism

Willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
