Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves handling various accounting responsibilities, including invoice approvals, payment processing, and account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will also assist with month-end close activities and audit requests, and will serve as a primary contact for external vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payments.Responsibilities: Facilitate the approval process of non-PO invoices by department managers or designees prior to payment. Manage auto-paid invoices, ensuring they receive approval from the department manager or designee. Prepare check payments and process different types of payments such as ACH payments, auto debits, and credit card payments. Act as a primary contact for assigned external vendors, ensuring payments are made accurately and timely. Assist with the preparation and recording of Time-of-Service cash deposits. Work closely with Registration Supervisors to identify and reconcile Time-of-Service cash deposits. Reconcile assigned bank and credit card accounts. Assist with assigned account reconciliations. Participate in month-end close activities. Assist with audit and tax requests.Qualified candidates contact Daniel ShomoRequirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Hands-on experience with Bank Reconciliations Capable of managing General Ledger and Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is required Proficiency in using NetSuite Must have a strong understanding of the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred CPA certification would be a plus Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
