Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Cornelius, North Carolina area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Participate in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Process Improvement experience
Command of Inventory Accounting
Cost accounting experience
Internal Control experience
Internal Control experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Skilled at time management
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Skilled with ERP systems
