Job DescriptionOracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building a new Cloud (Infrastructure-as-a-Service & Platform-as-a-Service) that operates at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their entire businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services. OCI Console team is responsible for the architecture and design of highly available, scalable and responsive front-end applications (Web & Mobile) that help Customers interact with OCI and its services to provision their infrastructure needs. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to come lead and build a team responsible for developing highly scalable & reliable Web & Mobile applications. Basic Qualifications:Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, source control management, and operations.8+ years of experience in developing Web / Mobile applications.2+ years of experience managing a team of software engineers or relevant experience.Proficiency in JavaScript / Typescript, Angular / React & ReduxProficient at programming in one of the languages such as Java, C#, C/C Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fieldsPreferred Qualifications:Strong in problem solving abilities.8+ years of experience in developing Web / Mobile applications.Experience developing Web applications and/or experience building mobile applicationsExcellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fieldsCareer Level - M2ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager of Software Development, you will own and manage a team of software engineers responsible for the software architecture and development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure and the Cloud Console. You will be responsible for planning, designing, developing and executing software designs & solutions. You should be comfortable with diving deep to solve technical problems while at the same time have the ability to think big and provide the vision for the technology space. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
